Transmission Line Materials

The towers are erected to transport the electricity generated in generating station switchyard to substations located near populated areas. The electrical transmission line tower cane be designed in different shapes, heights and mechanical strength. The major parts of a transmission tower are peak, cross arm, boom, cage, body, leg, anchor/stub bolt and base plate assembly. This tower can be divided into four types, according to the angle of deviation- A type tower, B type tower, C type tower and D type tower
